Scraplifting Tracey Fox

This is my penultimate project for SpiegelMom Scraps.  I hope it's a good one...

Inspiration came from this layout from one of our guest designers Tracey Fox.

Here is the process video:

 And a few close ups...

I also managed to sneak this month's theme of recycling in - the leaf patterned paper with the curved top and bottom is packaging from some cosmetics.

The sequins are from Sorting Hat and Cunning Ones.  There is a spring cleaning sale on too... add the code SCS2018 to get 25% off.

Linking to Simon Says Stamp's Sparkle challenge - you can't beat sequins for sparkle!

Thanks for looking!

Stick It Down

Don't you just love a set of ridiculous photos?  Ha!

Here is my layout for Stick It Down...

I was pretty faithful to the sketch...

The photo sequence shows me attempting to get a new headshot.  Utter madness!  My face makes weird shapes...

The teeny tiny paperclips are from Doodlebug, mixed media stuff from Shimmerz and Liquitex.  The borders a re a free cut file from UK Scrap Addicts.

Fancy joining us at Stick It Down this month? See you there...

Thanks Boden!

All of the 'patterned paper' you see on this layout is actually a mail shot from Boden Clothing!  It was far too pretty to end up in the recycling bin so I popped it on my desk.

I took a little strategic cutting and flipping of parts to cover the writing and expose the peach on the reverse of the mailshot.

I added some stencilling with white pastes from Shimmerz in the background.  The stencil is from Pretty My Page.  The sequins were picked from recent SpiegelMom mixes to match the colours.  That's the great thing about mixes - if you buy three mixes you not only have those three mixes but the option for a huge range of other mixes too.

I now I am biased but doesn't Henley look adorable here mid chatter?!

Upcycling Yeo Valley Packaging!

SpiegelMom Scraps are focusing on flowers and upcycling this month.  I saved some cardboard packaging from some youghurts and fussy cut out all the pretties.

It turned in to one of my favourite makes - who needs to spend loads on supplies?

I added some sewing details with my machine.

And, of course, lots of sequins.

I searched through to find sequins that matched the packaging adding yellows, purples, greens and flower shapes.

I added alpha tiles from Pretty Little Studio - they are the perfect size!

Thanks for stopping by!

Personalised Notebook

I like to take part in swaps occasionally. When I do I like to give my swap partner personalised gifts.

I transformed this plain notebook with a monogram and my Derwent Graphik paint pens.  The pens stay on virtually all surfaces so it is an easy and permanent way to give plain things a bit of pizazz.
